Tennis: Romanians Buzean, Bara finalists at Galati women's futures tournament
Buzean won 6-4, 6-2 the semifinal against fellow Romanian, 4th seed Cristina Dinu, and Bara left behind Italian Anna-Giulia Remondina, 7th seed, by 6-4, 6-0.
Fifth seed Diana Buzean and 3rd seed Irina Maria Bara, both from Romania, face each other on Saturday, in the final of the 10,000 dollar women's futures tennis tournament of Galati.
Buzean won 6-4, 6-2 the semifinal against fellow Romanian, 4th seed Cristina Dinu, and Bara left behind Italian Anna-Giulia Remondina, 7th seed, by 6-4, 6-0.
Buzean won her earlier matches against Bara, 3-6, 6-3, 6-1 in 2012 and 6-0, 6-2 in 2013, both in Antalya (Turkey), in the round of 16.
Romanians Oana Georgeta Simion and Gabriela Talaba, 3rd seed, won the final of the doubles tournament in Galati against Daniela Ciobanu (Republic of Moldova) / Camelia-Elena Hristea (Romania) by 4-6, 7-5, 10-8. AGERPRES
