Over one thousand people protest in Victoriei Square

Over 1,000 persons protested on Thursday outside the Gov't headquarters after Justice Minister Tudorel Toader's announcement regarding the initiation of the the procedure for removing from office Chief Prosecutor of the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) Laura Codruta Kovesi.

The people gathered in Victoriei Square chanted "We don't want a nation of thieves," "You won't get away, you won't get away," "In prisons, not in the government," "DNA to come and take you," "Romania, wake up!," while waving tricolour and EU flags.
