The Athens Exchange (ATHEX) general index closed at 1,433.04 points, adding 0.15% to Tuesday's 1,430.94 points. The large-cap FTSE-25 index expanded 0.18%, ending at 3,474.79 points, though mid-caps contracted 0.01%.

The banks index was the clear winner of the day, rising 1.20%, as Eurobank grew 1.73%, Alpha grabbed 1.65%, National fetched 0.94% and Piraeus earned 0.24%.

Among the other blue chips, Terna Energy advanced 3.33% and GEK Terna collected 2.21%, while ElvalHalcor conceded 5.83%.
