Schools evacuated after fire breaks out near Patra

Two schools were evacuated Wednesday as a precaution after a fire broke out near Patra in the northern Peloponnese. The fire has now been set under partial control. 

A total of 35 firefighters with nine vehicles and two firefighting aircraft are on the mission.

According to sources, the fire is burning agricultural and forest land and does not pose a threat to any residential areas.
