Turkey continues its provocations against Greece. Today, 12 Turkish airplanes -eight F-16, two F-4 and two CN-235 electronic warfare aiplanes- flew over the northeastern, the central and the southeastern Aegean Sea.

The two CN-235 proceeded to 30 violations of Greek airspace and in three cases the interception by the Greek fighter jets evolved into dogfights.

UNHCR: Overcrowded Greek refugee camps ill-prepared for winter

Greece must speed up winter preparations at refugee camps on islands in the Aegean Sea where there has been a sharp rise in arrivals, the United Nations refugee agency said on Friday.

Nearly 5,000 refugees, mostly Syrian or Iraqi families, crossed from Turkey in September - a quarter of all arrivals this year, UNHCR data shows.

The Turkish airforce violated Greek national airspace for a total of 66 times on Wednesday on the heels of a barrage of an aggressive display a day before with 65 violations. It is a clear escalation of provocations on the part of Turkey against Greece, as the violations continue well into the night.

Turkey continued its policy of constant provocations towards Greece after it violated Greek airspace a total of 65 times in a single day. On six occasions the Greek and Turkish aircraft engaged in dog fights, as the invading Turkish jets refused to comply and leave the Greek national airspace.

Greek FM sees increased risk due to inexperienced Turkish combat pilots

The frequent violations of Greek air space by Turkish fighter jets, often flown by inexperienced or veteran pilots following a purge in the military by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, increases the risk of a military accident over the Aegean Sea, Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias said Thursday, adding however that Athens wants to strengthen ties between the two nations.
