Croatian, Montenegrin Presidents Accuse Vucic of Reviving Serbian Nationalism

During his visit to Croatia, Djukanovic said Serbia's President, Aleksandar Vucic, was reviving the retrograde political messages of the wars of the 1990s in former Yugoslavia.

Serbia Prosecution Told to Reconsider BIRN Questions About Lawyer’s Death

Serbia's Commissioner for Information of Public Importance has ordered the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade to review BIRN's request for information on the death of lawyer Vladimir Cvijan, a former associate of the two Serbian presidents.

Cvijan was found dead three years ago, but the public was only notified about his death in March this year.

Serbia’s Ambassador to Russia Lazanski Passes Away

Miroslav Lazanski, the Serbian ambassador to Russia, has suddenly died, Serbia's Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday.

Lazanski was appointed ambassador to Moscow in June 2019. He had been an MP in parliament since June 2016, elected on the ruling Serbian Progressive Party's list as a non-party person.

Serbian Mayor Will File Charges to Expose ‘Liars Targeting President’

The mayor of the northern Serbian city of Novi Sad, Milos Vucevic, a senior official in Serbia's ruling Serbian Progressive Party, SNS, will file an as yet unnamed criminal charge on Tuesday against President Aleksandar Vucic, the party announced on Monday - with a view to clearing the President's reputation and exposing the "mafia octopus" that the mayor says has Vucic in its sights.

"All honest and hard-working people can find place for themselves in the Serbian Progressive Party, to fight even harder for the people of Serbia," Vucic said, along with a video of a meeting of the extended composition of the SNS Executive Board with members of the Belgrade City Board.
