Most of Greece suffered from drought this June
Most parts of Greece suffered from drought in June, data from Meteo.gr by the National Observatory of Athens showed on Tuesday.
Its network of weather stations across the country recorded a severe lack of rainfall combined with very high temperatures.
In some places, like in the center of Athens, there was not a single rain drop recorded for the whole of June.

Greece records hottest June since 2010
This June was the hottest in Greece since 2010 by a significant margin, according to data from 53 meteorological stations by the National Observatory of Athens.
Meteo.gr reports that compared to the 2010-2019 average, this June saw significant positive temperature deviations across the country.

London-based artist Christina Mitrentse's interactive installation-performance "Censored" explores banned books borrowed from four libraries, constructing a temporary Metalibrary at Greece's National Library (364 Syngrou) in a co-production of the Athens Epidaurus Festival and the Municipal Theater of Piraeus.

Athens community members come together to celebrate Natsu Matsuri
A Natsu Matsuri summer festival occurred late last week in Athens' public Japanese Park, in the Pangrati neighborhood. The event, which brought together Athenian locals, tourists, and Japanese people, is rooted in the Shinto tradition and is meant to honor the spirits of the people's ancestors.

The 13th Athens Energy Summit is taking place on Thursday and Friday this week at Hotel Grande Bretagne, at Syntagma Square.
Opening proceedings on Thursday will be a speech by Greece's Environment and Energy Minister Thodoros Skylakakis.

SEV hosting ‘Discover China’ event
The Hellenic Federation of Enterprises (SEV), the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Enterprise Greece and the Greek Exporters Association, in association with Eurobank, are organizing an information event titled "Discover China."
The event, which is being held on Tuesday at SEV headquarters (5 Xenofontos, Athens), will be in English with a physical presence.
