President to deliver message to nation on anniversary, lockdown

Greece's new president Katerina Sakellaropoulou is on Tuesday afternoon to deliver a message to the nation during which she is expected to refer to Wednesday's March 25 independence day, which will be celebrated in the absence of crowds this year due to the coronavirus epidemic, and on the necessity of the lockdown imposed from Monday. 

Poet Katerina Anghelaki-Rooke to be buried in Egina on Thursday

The funeral service for acclaimed Greek poet Katerina Anghelaki-Rooke, who died Tuesday aged 81, will be held at Panagitsa church on the island of Egina at 3 p.m. on Thursday.

Anghelaki-Rooke will be buried next to her husband, British classicist Rodney Rooke, to whom she was married for 43 years until his death in 2007.

French-Greek Chamber to host tax event

The French-Greek Chamber of Commerce and Industry is holding an event on Thursday at the French Institute of Greece (31 Sina, Athens) titled "Proposals for a Fair and Effective Tax Policy for Enterprises."
The keynote speaker will be the new head of Grant Thornton in Greece, Nikos Karamouzis, while corporate tax experts will offer their insight.
