Belgrade mayor won't run for reelection
Belgrade Mayor Sinisa Mali has announced that he will not run for reelection.
Mali told the Belgrade-based daily Alo that he is "proud of everything" that has been done and of the Serbian capital becoming "a big construction site" during his term in office.

Thousands Join Protest to Demand Resignation of Belgrade Mayor

Mayor: EBRD backing for projects in Belgrade
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development will back a number of projects in Belgrade, Mayor Sinisa Mali has said.
These include the building of a new bus station in Blok 42 and the restructuring of public transportation company GSP, Mali explained, noting that this shows the Serbian capital is again an attractive investment destination.

"City buses must have air conditioning and wifi"
The city will call a tender in the first half of August to select a public transportation partner for the next ten years, Belgrade Mayor Sinisa Mali has said.
Mali noted that a contract signed with private companies in 2005 expires this year.

Mayors of Moscow and Belgrade sign cooperation program
A program of cooperation between the City of Belgrade and the Government of Moscow for 2015-2017 was signed on Tuesday.
Belgrade Mayor Sinisa Mali is currently on a visit to Russia.
Peter Handke becomes honorary citizen of Belgrade
Austrian writer and humanitarian Peter Handke was presented with the Charter of Honorary Citizen Of Belgrade by Mayor Sinisa Mali on Thursday.
Mali said during the ceremony the charter was "a stamp on the friendship of a city and a man, a writer and humanitarian who has a special commitment to Belgrade," Tanjug reported.

Zagreb mayor praises cooperation with Belgrade
BELGRADE - Mayor of Zagreb Milan Bandic said Thursday that there is a more positive feel in the relations between Serbia and Croatia, and particularly between the two capitals.
He added that he has not encountered any problems in the cooperation with Belgrade Mayor Sinisa Mali, nor with Dragan Djilas while he was the mayor of the Serbian capital.
