Serbian Magazine Wants Kosovo Car Fire Investigated
The Serbian weekly Vreme has called on the director of Kosovo Police, Rashit Qelaj, to investigate the fire that broke out in the vehicle driven by three of its journalists and a reporter of the French-language website Le Courrier des Balkans on January 4.

North Kosovo town adorned with Serbian flags as "response"
Citizens are saying that the flags have been displayed in response to the announced adopted of a law in the Assembly in Pristina to form an army in Kosovo, which will be discussed on Friday.

Also, they say the move came in response to US flags being displayed lately in Pristina, the southern part of Kosovska Mitrovica, and elsewhere in southern Kosovo and Metohija.

Now Albanian wants to become mayor of "united" K. Mitrovica
According to the northern-Kosovo based KoSSev website, Bahtiri is proposing that he should govern a "united (Kosovska Mitrovica."
"I demand that the Kosovo government take all the necessary legal actions to immediately abolish the decision to divide Mitrovica into two municipalities," Bahtiri wrote on his Facebook profile.

Protesters rallied on Tuesday in the north of the divided town of Mitrovica, carrying placards with messages like "EU open your eyes", "All we are saying is give peace a chance", "They are beating and terrorising us", "We want peace - not new wars" and "Don't shut us in a ghetto".

Serb mayors in north resign, cut communication with Pristina
At Tuesday's extraordinary meeting of the mayors of the municipalities of Kosovska Mitrovica, Leposavic, Zubin Potok and Zvecan, a declaration was signed by which the leaders of these municipalities withdrew from their functions and severed any communication with the authorities in Pristina.
