Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias reiterated on Wednesday that the newly elected ethnic Greek mayor of Himare in Albania, Fredi Beleris, must be released and that he does not understand the continuation of his detention. 

Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias has reacted to the outcome of Turkey's elections on Sunday, where incumbent President Tayyip Erdogan performed better than expected in the first round of voting but fell short of an outright majority, leading to a runoff.

Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias on Monday marked the anniversary of the surrender of Nazi Germany in World War Two, highlighting Greece's contribution to the Allied victory.

Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias announced that jointly with Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis' it was decided to relocate Air Force aircraft and members of the army's Special Forces to Egypt on Sunday to participate in a potential operation to rescue Greek and Cypriot citizens that remain trapped in Sudan.
