Bulgaria's Interior Ministry Warns Against Travelling on January 5-7
Chief Directorate National Police has called on drivers not to travel during the period January 5-7 unless it is extremely necessary, announced the press centre of the Interior Ministry.
Terror: At least 113 dead in the Caribbean from hurricane Matthew
Hurricane Matthew has strengthened as it nears a “direct hit” with Florida, and is set to be the strongest storm in the United States for 12 years. The hurricane has pounded the Bahamas after devastating parts of Haiti. Damage could be “catastrophic”, Florida’s governor said. Evacuation orders are in place along the coast.

A shocking video shows a large advertisement board on top of a 30 meter pole falling on a busy road during high traffic, in Mexico city, Mexico. The metallic pole could not withstand the high gusts of winds causing it to initially start to slowly tilt before eventually crashing onto the road and damaging two cars Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

US blizzard kills 25, Washington struggles to rebound
The eastern United States emerged wearily from a massive blizzard that dumped huge amounts of snow and killed at least 25 people, but Washington was still reeling, with government offices and schools to remain closed Jan. 25.
Snowzilla: At least 19 dead in US blizzard
Gale force winds have immobilized Washington, New York and other US states killing at least 19 people in the United States. In New York City, it was the second biggest storm ever recorded, dumping 68 cm of snow by midnight on Saturday (the record was 68.3 cm in 2006).

Snowfall paralyzes life in Istanbul
Heavy snowfall ahead of New Year's has paralyzed life in Istanbul as some flights and ferries were canceled, metrobuses were delayed and side roads remained inaccessible despite continued traffic on the city's main roads.
Turkish Airlines and low-cost Turkish carrier Pegasus canceled 221 flights scheduled for Dec. 31, 2015, and Jan. 1, 2016, due to the snow storm.

Snow warning issued for Istanbul
Istanbul Governor's Office has urged people living in the metropolis to avoid going outside unless necessary in a written statement, citing the expectation of heavy snowfall lasting from noon on Dec. 30 until early Jan. 2, 2016.
