Democratic Party official arrested on corruption charges
BELGRADE -- The police have arrested head of the Democratic Party (DS) group in the Assembly of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina Borislav Novaković.
He is a former director of the Public Enterprise for City Construction and Development Novi Sad, and served as Novi Sad mayor from 2000 until 2004.
Novi Sad inventor wins European award
NOVI SAD - Stefan Velja, a young inventor from Novi Sad, won the Gold Medal for Young Inventors at the Brussels Eureka competition, Novi Sad Radio 021 reports.
His patent, a stent used for catching and breaking up blood clots, was presented at the International Exhibition of Invention, Research and New Technologies 'Eureka 2014' held in Brussels on November 13-15.

Exit, Sea Dance among top European festivals
NOVI SAD - This year, too, EXIT has found its way to the list of 12 best major European festivals, based on votes from over 1.2 million people around the world.
Also on the list are Denmark's Roskilde, Belgium's Tomorrowland, Hungary's Sziget and Germany's Rock am Ring, the European Festival Awards (EFA) announced.

Enforcement agents solve over 140,000 cases
NOVI SAD - Over 140,000 cases have been solved in less than two years since the introduction of enforcement agents by appointing 205 of a total of 308 agents, as it was originally planned, it was stated at a round table on new legal practice in Novi Sad on Thursday.

'Henry Moore-The Printmaker' in Novi Sad
NOVI SAD - The Museum of Vojvodina in Novi Sad will be a meeting place for all art buffs as of Friday, November 7, as it will host an exhibition of works by Henry Moore, one of the greatest British artists of the 20th century.
The exhibition consists of 80 prints, five sculpture models and a working model, all dating back to the period between 1934 and 1984.

Vojvodina parliament adopts budget review
NOVI SAD - The parliament of the autonomous province of Vojvodina adopted on Tuesday the official review of the provincial budget which lists revenues at around RSD 58.7 billion and expenses at around RSD 62.5 billion, with the deficit at some RSD 4.3 billion.

RSD 5.7M to be allocated to repair damage to Albanian shops
NOVI SAD - The government of Vojvodina pledged to transfer RSD 5.7 million to help repair the damage to 15 facilities in the northern Serbian province which were vandalized after the incident at the Serbia-Albania football match.
The funds will be allocated from the current budget reserve, the government of Vojvodina released on its website on Monday.
