Marcell Jacobs of Italy is the surprise victor of the fastest track race at the Tokyo Olympics, the men's 100 meter.

Jacobs beat his personal best time and put his star solidly on the map in the blazing fast race.

He was not well-known in the track world before today, making it to the semi-finals of this event in the 2019 World Athletics Championships.

Greece’s Lefteris Petrounias clinches Olympics bronze medal in men’s rings finals

Greek artistic gymnast Lefteris Petrounias has clinched the bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics with a score of 15.200.

Chinese gymnast Liu Yang earned the gold medal with a score of 15.500 and You Hao, also of China won the silver with 15.300.

Romania has conquered the silver medals in the men's coxless pair race, on Thursday, during the Tokyo Olympic Games, through Marius Cozmiuc and Ciprian Tudosa. The Romanians were timed with 6 minutes 16 seconds 58/100, being overtaken by the Croatian brothers Martin and Valent Sinkovic, 6 min 15 sec 29/100, who led the race from one end to another.

Slovenian judoka Tina Trstenjak wins silver Olympic medal

Tokyo – Slovenian judoka Tina Trstenjak has won the silver medal in the 63kg category at the Tokyo Olympics. The second-best-ranked in the category had to concede to the top-ranked Clarisse Agbegnenou of France on Tuesday in what was a replay of the gold medal match from the previous Olympics where Trstenjak won.
