Ex-French President Chirac dies at 86
Jacques Chirac, a two-term French president who was the first leader to acknowledge France's role in the Holocaust and who defiantly opposed the U.S. invasion of Iraq in 2003, died on Sept. 26 at 86.

Prime Minister Viorica Dancila said the former President of France, Jacques Chirac, who died on Thursday aged 86, was a "friend" who constantly supported our country's integration with the NATO and EU structures. "The passing away of the former President of France is a big loss for his country, for Jacques Chirac had a long and brilliant political career in serving France.
Greek PM hails Chirac’s legacy
Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis hailed the legacy of former French President Jacques Chirac who died Thursday at 86.
