The Bulgarian Supreme Administrative Court has suspended the implementation of Pirin National Park's new management plan, which would have allowed construction in 66 per cent of the park's territory and logging in 48 per cent, said campaign group WWF-Bulgaria.

A bus with children caught fire in the Predel mountain saddle, BNR reported. The incident happened at about 10.30 am.
 
The students are from Veliko Tarnovo and went to a mountain camp school in Dobrinishte. While traveling, smoke filled the bus. The leaders immediately evacuated the children. They have made a chain so that students can get off without a hitch.
 

Mountain rescuers were searching for a lost person in the Pirin Mountain, the Bansko Regional Rescue Base (PSS) reported to the Bulgarian Red Cross (BRC).

The lost tourist in the Pirin was found in good health in the afternoon, BTA from the Mountain Rescue Service (PSS) in Bansko reported.

The number of tourists visiting the chalets in the mountainous regions of Razlog and Bansko has almost doubled in the summer, BNT reports. According to the owners of chalets in Pirin, dozens of organized groups from England, Germany and Romania made reservations for the month of August in the mountain tourist complexes already 2 months ago.

Three rescue operations were carried out over the last 24 hours. A group of tourists is still being searched for, the Mountain Rescue Service told Focus News Agency. 

A three-member panel of the Supreme Administrative Court (SAC) repealed the decision of Environment Minister Nino Dimov not to carry out an environmental assessment of the changes in the management of Pirin Park. Separately, the supreme magistrates give obligatory directions to Dimov to observe the laws on protected areas and the protection of the environment.
