Tasovac announces attendance at Belgrade Pride Parade
BELGRADE- Serbian Minister of Culture and Information Ivan Tasovac conferred with representatives of the Belgrade Pride Organisation Board Marko Ilic and Boban Stojanovic on Wednesday concerning the improvement of cooperation between institutions and the LGBT community, and voiced support to the event, adding that he would attend the forthcoming Pride Parade in Serbia's capital.
Muiznieks:Govt to ensure safety of Pride Parade participants
STRASBOURG - Human Rights Commissioner of the Council of Europe (CoE) Nils Muiznieks welcomed on Wednesday the reaction of the Serbian government to the recent attack on an LGBT activist and called on them to ensure safety for all participants in the forthcoming Pride Parade in Belgrade.

According to reports, Serbian police arrested three people who distributed leaflets inviting people to join protests against Belgrade Gay Pride Parade scheduled for September 28. Police have not yet confirmed the arrests.

BELGRADE -- Democratic societies, especially those who aspire to join the EU, must treat the respect for LGBT rights as an issue of respect for universal human rights.
This was heard from participants at a two-day conference in Belgrade, "The future belongs to us: LGBT rights on the road to the European Union".

Final security assessment for Pride march in 2 weeks

BELGRADE -- The Belgrade LGBT pride parade will be held on Sunday, September 28, Tanjug has reported, quoting the Belgrade-based daily Politika.
The pride march will be followed by a party outside the Belgrade City Council building, according to these reports.
