PM Dancila: Gov't takes into account extending voting for several days, extending vote by mail

Prime Minister Viorica Dancila stated on Thursday that the Government is working on an advanced study, a package of measures regarding the improvement of the electoral process, showing that the Gov't takes into account that the voting be carried out on several days, but also considers the extension of the vote by mail.

Parliament defeats no-confidence motion (official)

Parliament on Tuesday defeated a no-confidence motion called "The Dancila Government must be dismissed! No emergency ordinances, no passwords, no lines for voting." The motion received 200 yeses, 7 noes and 3 abstentions, short of 233 yeses needed to pass. "The no-confidence motion failed to garner the yes votes needed to pass," said Chamber of Deputies Speaker Marcel Ciolacu.

Data centralised by the Central Electoral Bureau (BEC) as of Monday at 19:30hrs, EEST, indicated that 4,114,762 people voted "YES" to question no. 1 and 4,013,715 said "YES" to question no. 2, both in Sunday's justice referendum. Answering "NO" to question no. 1 were 702,458 voters, and doing the same to question no. 2 were 670,591 voters.

Data centralised by the Central Electoral Bureau (BEC) as of Monday at 14:27hrs, EEST, indicated that 2,702,719 people voted "Yes" to question No. 1 and 2,642,172 said "Yes" to question No. 2 of Sunday's justice referendum. Answering "No" to question No. 1 were 461,381 voters, and 442,507 voters gave the same answer to question No. 2.
