Serbian Business Council in UAE opens

ABU DHABI/BELGRADE - The Serbian Business Council in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) opened in Abu Dhabi and the ceremony was attended by government representatives, prominent businessmen from both countries and the Serbian Embassy officials, the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (PKS) released on Friday.

At the opening ceremony, the film entitled 'Serbia - One journey - Million impressions' was displayed, PKS stated in the release.

The Serbian Business Council is an organisation that creates and enhances business opportunities and investments between the Republic of Serbia and UAE. It also encourages and presents the interests of the Serbian economy and professionals in the Emirates and serves as representative of Serbia as a country offering favourable investment and business climate.

The ceremony to open the Council was attended by over 150 guests, representatives of the UAE government, UAE businessmen and prominent figures of Serbia living and working in UAE.

The notes of gratitude were delivered to donors who helped Serbia by substantial aid funds in the course and after the recent floods.

PKS said in the release that the UAE delegation recently returned the visit of PKS President Zeljko Sertic to UAE in May. Mohamed AlNuaimi as Vice Secretary General of the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce which organised the visit spoke about the positive impressions and major potentials for cooperation.
