Handball: Three Romanian players selected to U-18 All Star Team

After claiming victory on Sunday in the final of the Women's Youth (U18) World Handball Championship in Macedonia, Romania's team came to have three representatives in the All Star Team of the 2014 Women's Junior World Championship.

Thus, pivot Lorena Ostase, centre back Cristina Laslo and left back Bianca Maria Bazaliu were the three Romanian players who were chosen by an expert jury of the International Handball Federation (IHF) to become part of the team.

Bazaliu ranked 3rd in the final ranking of the top scorers at the World Championship, with 76 points, after Sojeong Yu (South Korea), 81 goals scored, and Ida Marie Hernes (Norway), 76 goals scored.

Emily Bolk (Germany) became the best player of this year's edition of the World Championship.

Romania claimed victory on Sunday against Germany, 32-21, in the final of the competition played in Ohrid.

The "best of the best" team of the competition features the following players: Goalkeeper: Jessica Jochims (Germany), Left backcourt: Itana Grbic (Montenegro), Pivot: Lorena Ostase (Romania),Right backcourt: Stine Bindlez Holm (Denmark), Left backcourt: Bianca Maria Bazaliu (Romania), Centre backcourt: Cristina Laslo (Romania), Right backcourt: Durdina Malovic (Montenegro).
