Ana Ivanovic reaches final in Cincinnati

CINCINNATI - Serbia's Ana Ivanovic defeated Maria Sharapova 6-2 5-7 7-5 at the Cincinnati Masters on Sunday to reach the final of the tournament.

Her opponent in the match for the title will be Serena Williams from the US, who beat Caroline Wozniacki from Denmark 2-6 6-2 6-4.

Williams is the favourite, since she has lost only one of the previous 7 matches against Ivanovic. Ivanovic said the match with Williams would be a great test of her capabilities.

Regardless of the outcome of the final, Ivanovic will move up in the WTA rankings and return among the top 10.

The prize fund in Cincinnati is USD 2,567,300. The winner will get USD 467,300, while the loser in the final gets USD 227,000.
