Candidate Ponta: Iohannis has a problem; I'm sure he won't avoid Supreme Court

Victor Ponta, the incumbent Social Democrat prime minister running for president, says his opponent Klaus Iohannis of the National Liberal Party is the one who has legal problems, and should appear before the Supreme Court to settle the issue of his incompatibility.

'I know Mr. Iohannis has a case at the Supreme Court with the ANI [National Integrity Agency] he keeps procrastinating. As far as I'm concerned, according to data released by the Judiciary and the Prosecutors' Office, I have no legal problems. Mr. Iohannis is the one who has a problem and I'm sure he will no longer avoid the trial at the Supreme Court, so that we finally know whether he's compatible or incompatible,' Ponta said after a meeting with Social Democrat Party's members and supporters of Bucharest's 3rd District on Tuesday.
