Zvezda beats Olimpija for 16th consecutive win in ABA League

LJUBLJANA - Belgrade's Crvena Zvezda continued their winning streak in the ABA League, after beating Olimpija from Ljubljana 91-81 (19-22, 27-25, 21-22, 24-12) in their 16th match of the 2014-15 regular season late on Sunday.

Although the team from Ljubljana had held a lead for most of the match, the Red-and-White's quality eventually shone through to bring them their 16th consecutive victory in the regional basketball competition.

Crvena Zvezda, still undefeated, lead the standings, while Olimpija have won 8 and lost 8 matches.

By beating Olimpija last night, Crvena Zvezda set the new ABA League longest winning streak record, beating their city rival Partizan's 2007-08 season record of 15.
