Simona Man (ANT): Over half a million German citizens visit Romania, in 2014

Over half a million German citizens visited Romania in 2014, having benefited from tourism services offered by the business operators in this field, said the National Authority for Tourism (ANT) President Simona Allice Man, according to a Monday's press release received by AGERPRES.

The ANT president attended on January 17 the official opening of the International Tourism Fair CMT-Stuttgart (January 17?25), to which Romania is the country partner.

'The purpose for which Romania must participate in this type of events is that of increasing the visibility of our country's tourism offer, as well as implicitly increasing the tourism circulation from these countries. For example, Germany ranks first among the countries generating foreign tourists. In 2014, over half a million German citizens visited Romania, having benefited from tourism services offered by the business operators in this field,' said Man.

According to the release, Romania is participating in the CMT-Stuttgart with a special artistic programme and its theme is authentic Romania.

'Be it either a seaside or a mountain holiday, a city break or rural tourism, eco-tourism, Romania offers it all. The landscapes in my country are unique, and no matter how much I have traveled, and no matter how many places I have visited, no-one compared to Romania. in the context of the description made above, I invite you to discover the Carpathians' Garden, to discover the spa Romania, the cultural-historical Romania, the ECO Romania and, last but not least, Romania of unique destinations, of virgin forests,' the ANT president added at the said tourism fair.
