President Iohannis participates in ceremonies celebrating end of WWII in Poland

President Klaus Iohannis on Thursday is to participate in the ceremonies organised on the occasion of the 70th anniversary since the end of the Second World War, in Gdansk, the Polish Republic.

According to a release of the Presidential Administration, the head of state will visit together with his Polish counterpart, Bronislaw Komorowski, the European Centre of Solidarity Movement in Gdansk, an exhibition devoted to the Second World War and he will also participate in the historic panel titled "Reassessing WWII Heritage" and the political panel titled "European Integration as a Lesson Learned after the WWII: What It Represents Today."

Moreover, President Iohannis will participate in the candle lighting ceremony at the Monument to the Fallen Shipyard Workers of 1970, in the official dinner offered by the Polish President and also in the ceremony marking the end of the WWII at the Monument of the Polish Defenders. AGERPRES
