SocDems give up political rally, following Liberal opposition's steps

The Social Democrat Party (PSD) cancelled a political rally scheduled for Friday, during the Parliament's debate of a censure motion, party spokeswoman Gabriela Firea announced on Thursday.

The National Liberal Party ? the main opposition force ? had been the first to convene such a public manifestation, then to give it up when the Social Democrats called their own rally on the same day, in a nearby location around the Parliament Palace.

"We thought that since the Opposition announced they give up their rally, we could do the same, meaning we will convene first throughout the country and on the first occasion in Bucharest, too. The motion ? as the prime minister said ? should be debated and voted in the Parliament," Firea explained in an intervention at the B1 TV. AGERPRES
