Zimonjic/Peya defeated in Madrid doubles quarter-finals

MADRID - The Serbian-Austrian duo of Nenad Zimonjic and Alexander Peya has failed to reach the men's doubles semi-finals of the Madrid Masters tournament after a 7-6 (7-5), 7-6 (7-2) defeat to the Romanian-Dutch pair of Horia Tecau and Jean-Julien Rojer on Friday.

Third-seeded Tecau and Rojer maintained better focus in the decisive moments of both tie-breaks, winning after an hour and 40 minutes of play.

The prize money in Madrid is EUR 4,771,360.
