#CentennialofGreatUnion "Romania 100 - Diplomacy, Education and Mission" - meeting dedicated to Centenary, in Alba Iulia

A large-scale event dedicated to the Centennial of the Great Union - the meeting "Romania 100 - Diplomacy, Education and Mission" - is organized on Friday in Alba Iulia by "1st December 1918" University in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to the rector of "1st December 1918" University, Daniel Breaz, the meeting, which will be attended by representatives of several diplomatic missions and numerous personalities from Romania, is "one of the most important events dedicated to the Centennial of the Great Union" and, at the same time, an event "of great importance at national level and, in particular, for Alba Iulia and the Alba County".

Anniversary debates will be held on Romania's bilateral diplomatic relations since the making of the Great Union, the importance of diplomacy in promoting Romania's national identity at international level, important moments in Romania's bilateral relations over the last 100 years, strategic partnerships, the profile and role of Romania in the current evolution of international relations, from the perspective of taking over the Presidency to the Council of the European Union as of 1 January 2019, included.

In addition to the academic and protocol activities, the program will also include visits to the main historical and cultural objectives of Alba Iulia.

Among the guests will be: High Court of Cassation and Justice (ICCJ) President Cristina Tarcea, Prosecutor General Augustin Lazar, Minister of Culture George Ivascu, Minister of European Affairs Victor Negrescu, senators Ecaterina Andronescu and Titus Corlatean, Ambassador of the United States Hans Klemm, Apostolic Nuncio - Ambassador of the Holy See, Monsignor Miguel Maury Buendia, numerous other ambassadors, county and local officials.
