Metro: Eurovision 2018 Rehearsal, Bulgaria Chill to the Bones with Strongest Rehearsal yet (Video)

METRO (UK) - An impressive camera display from Bulgaria shows why Bones is hotly tipped for Eurovision Success this year. Equinox are in it to win it and the staging and Bulgarian delegation have created a platform that supports that objective. This is a very strong performance indeed. Equinox is made up of Johnny Manuel, Georgi Simeonov, Zhana Bergendorff, Trey Campbell, and Vladimir Mihailov. Vocally, the singers work perfectly together with haunting harmonies and Zhana's performance at the end of the song is incredibly powerful. This song performance can chill you to the bones and Bulgaria should be competing at the top of the scoreboard for the third year in a row.

The band start lined up with Zhana sat at the end. There's some robotic movement that adds to the power as Zhana goes centre-stage on the transparent raised stage. Equinox transpose with one another as split camera shots work well to create an effective television display. The use of the spotlight rigs, smoke, pyrotechnics and wind machine create a really effective stage performance. The broken shots work well with the vertical light beams to increase the power of the presentation. Bulgaria are becoming one of the 'must watch' delegations when it comes to technical perfection.

Bulgaria finished second last year with Kristian Kostov's Beautiful Mess and fourth the year before with Poli Genova's If Love Was A Crime. Before that, they'd only qualified for the final once in 2007 and failed to get out of the semi final for six years in a row before taking two years out to regroup. It's a very impressive turnaround.

Bulgaria will be song number ten in the first Eurovision Song Contest on Tuesday 8 May.
