A Former University Lecturer Died after a Beating, the Murder is being Investigated

A man died after a beating in Plovdiv. As previously reported, an elderly man was found helpless about 22:00 on July 2 next to his car near the Military Hospital in Plovdiv. The Emergency Team has done its best to save him, but unsuccessfully.

71-year-old Stefan Neykov has died as a result of a violent beating, has a number of serious injuries throughout the body.

The Plovdiv District Prosecutor's Office is conducting murder investigation, said District Prosecutor Galin Gavrailov to Darik. There are no suspects at the moment and there is no charge now. There are several versions, one of which is that the crime was committed due to personal reasons.

Prof. Stefan Neykov has worked for many years in the Institute of Plant Genetic Resources in Sadovo, specialty "Vegetables", where he has retired. He was also a lecturer at the Agrarian University of Plovdiv.
