Hypersonic vehicle to represent Slovenia at Venice Biennial

The contribution concludes Peljhan's 20-year-long artistic project Resolution, which provided concrete and pragmatic solutions for specific issues, and will enable visitors to pose questions and search for answers regarding the current environmental and political situation in the world.

The project is based on the idea of using military technology to develop tactical resources and constructive solutions, with hypersonic technology playing a significant role, the Museum of Modern Art in Ljubljana said today.

Presenting the project, Peljhan explained that hypersonic technology emerged in the 1950s and strived to achieve the speed faster than five times multiple of the speed of sound.

The technology was put in the spotlight again last December, when the media reported on Russia's testing of hypersonic weapons.
