Pope Francis arrived for his four-day visit to Japan, expected to make a call for nuclear disarmament tomorrow, BTA reported.

The Thai Airways plane with the Pope, accompanied by a Vatican delegation and journalists, arrived in Tokyo after a six-hour flight from Bangkok.

At least 4 Dead and Dozens Injured in an Explosion near the Turkish Border in Syria

A car bomb exploded in the city of Tell Abiad, Syria, near the border with Turkey. At least 4 people were killed and dozens were injured.

Following the blast, roads leading to and from the city were closed by local authorities, while the seriously injured were taken to a hospital in the nearby Turkish city of Akcakale.

No terrorist group has yet claimed responsibility.

A 6.1 magnitude earthquake shook the Indonesian part of New Guinea Island, the US Geological Survey reported.
It was registered at 12:11 PM CET. The epicentre is located 311.7 kilometers southeast of the capital of the Indonesian province of West Papua - Manokwari. The earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers, BGNES writes.

Тhieves robbed a jewelry store on Al.Stamboliyski Blvd. in Sofia. The thieves have left with valuables worth over BGN 15,000, BNR reported.

The shop assistant explained to the police that several people had entered the store at the same time, and two of them asked her to show them some of the jewels displayed. Meanwhile, their accomplices managed to steal jewelry for over BGN 15,000.
