Turkey says coronavirus spread under control as death toll reaches 1,403

Turkey has taken the speed of the spread of coronavirus under control, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said, as the death toll from the outbreak increased by 107 to 1,403 on April 14, while the number of confirmed cases from the disease rose by 4,062 to 65,111.

The total number of recovered cases stood at 3,957, Fahrettin Koca shared in a Twitter post.

Romania's Health Minister Nelu Tătaru has announced that 445 new cases have been confirmed in the last 24 hours, bringing the number of infected to 3,183, according to Digi24 TV.

The number of deaths from the coronavirus is 118. A total of 283 people have been declared cured and released by hospitals. Currently, 83 patients are undergoing intensive treatment.
