The Interior Ministry announced on Tuesday that three people, Macedonian nationals from the north-eastern town of Kumanovo, were arrested in an anti-terrorist operation carried out by the police the previous day in cooperation with the National Security Agency and the Public Prosecutor's Office for Organised Crime.

Eurostat: Bulgaria In Top Five EU Countries With Lowest Unemployment Rate

Bulgaria enters the top five of the EU countries with the lowest unemployment in July, according to Eurostat data. We share the fifth place with Germany, where, as in our country, unemployment is 4.4%. But while in Germany unemployment has been rising steadily in recent months, in Bulgaria it has been declining in May and June, and in July it remains at the level of the previous month.

207 new coronavirus cases; 5 deaths

Greek authorities announced 207 new cases of coronavirus and five fatalities in the past 24 hours Tuesday.

Twenty of the 207 cases involved tourists tested upon arrival.

Greece's total number of confirmed coronavirus cases is now 10,524, with 271 dead.

European MP Reports Bucharest Police for ‘Putinesque’ Harassment

Airport arrivals decline 55-60%

Greece to reopen 10-year bond ‘in near future’

Greece has mandated six banks for the reopening of a 10-year bond in the near future, subject to market conditions, authorities said in a bourse filing on Tuesday.

Bulgarian Parliament in a New Building - the Renovated Former Party House

The new parliamentary season starts as of September 2 in a renovated building, the former Communist Party house. The sittings will take place in the renovated Saint Sofia hall. The repairs cost 18 million BGN so far, but further finishing works are scheduled.

Turkish banks post $5.6 bln net profit in January-July

Turkey's banking sector registered a net profit of 39 billion Turkish liras ($5.6 billion) as of the end of July, the country's banking watchdog said on Sept. 1. 

Total assets of the sector hit 5.6 trillion Turkish liras ($809 billion), up 34.7% from the same period last year, a report by the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BRSA) said.
