NIS invests 22.1 bln dinars in development projects in 2022

NOVI SAD - The oil company NIS invested 22.1 bln dinars in development projects in 2022, which is a 9 pct increase compared to capital investments in 2021.

In a statement, NIS announced an ambitious investment portfolio for 2023 that is worth double the amount of capital investments last year.

Serbian January inflation at 15.8 pct y-o-y

BELGRADE - According to figures released by the national statistical office, Serbian January inflation amounted to 1.4 pct, or 15.8 pct relative to January 2022, which is consistent with National Bank of Serbia (NBS) expectations, the central bank said in a statement.

"Around two-thirds of headline inflation remain attributable to food and energy prices.

Dinar-to-euro exchange rate at RSD 117.3216

BELGRADE - The Serbian dinar's official median exchange rate against the euro is 117.3216 dinars for one euro on Wednesday, which is a slight change from Tuesday, the National Bank of Serbia said.

The dinar is steady against the euro m-o-m and up by 0.2 pct y-o-y.
