Thessaloniki also known as Thessalonica, Salonika or Salonica, is the second-largest city in Greece and the capital of the region of Macedonia. Greeks consider it like συμπρωτεύουσα (the associated-capital) of the Northern Greece. Indeed, Thessaloniki was already the largest city of the Byzantine Empire after Constantinople.

Woman and children trapped by train doors in Livadeia; investigation underway
A woman sustained minor injuries in a safety incident late Saturday at the Livadeia train station in central Greece. She was reportedly traveling on a train from Athens to Thessaloniki, which made a scheduled stop to allow passengers to disembark.
