Sales of New Cars in Bulgaria Up

Over 30,000 new cars were sold in Bulgaria in 2018. According to data of the Bulgarian Traffic Police, 24,212 new cars and 9,537 vans were registered in Bulgaria last year, quoted by the Bulgarian National Radio. 

Sales of new vehicles increased in 17 out of all 27 EU member states. Highest increase was registered in Lithuania (25.4%), Romania (23.1) and Croatia (18.7%).

Jumbo sales rise 7.6 pct in H2 2018

Toy and homeware retailer Jumbo on Tuesday reported group sales of 476.7 million euros in the July-December 2018 period, up 7.6 percent on the same period in 2017.

This was mainly thanks to the 30 percent jump in sales in Romania and the 9 percent increase in Bulgaria, while sales rose 1 percent in Greece and 2 percent in Cyprus.
