The United States has postponed the delivery of the 8 F-16 planes, which have already been paid for by Bulgaria, by two years, as it fears leaks of secret data about the planes to Russia. This is what "Euroactiv" reports, referring to the opinion of two former Bulgarian defense ministers.

The two SANS (State Agency for National Security) employees investigated for espionage in favor of Russia have been removed. They are heads of sectors and departments in the agency, said SANS chairman Plamen Tonchev.

Bulgaria will do everything possible to evacuate its citizens in Ukraine, said President Rumen Radev after the extraordinary meeting of Dondukov 2.

He specified that only until the end of the meeting the number of people seeking evacuation exceeds 4,000.

"My advisor and I are making a list of Bulgarians abroad who have the appropriate education to join the Interior Ministry, the new Anti-Corruption Commission, the special services," Bulgarian Prime Minister Kiril Petkov announced on BTV.

The specialized prosecutor's office is initiating pre-trial proceedings to investigate an international organized criminal group set up to commit financial fraud, the investigation said. Under the prosecution's leadership, an international joint investigation team has been set up between Germany, Serbia, Greece and Bulgaria.

The main risks facing Bulgaria are related to security in the Black Sea region, as well as hybrid and cyber-attacks. This was stated by Foreign Minister Teodora Genchovska in connection with the Russia-Ukraine conflict and NATO-Russian tensions during an extraordinary session of parliament scheduled at the request of GERB.

In connection with the information received in June 2021 in Bulgaria's State Agency for National Security (SANS) regarding allegations of participation and ownership of Bulgarian legal entities and individuals in companies registered in offshore zones, the Agency ordered an immediate inspection, which continues to date.

Bulgaria's Anti-Corruption Commission, the National Revenue Agency and the State Agency for National Security have started inspecting the property of the former MP from MRF party, Delyan Peevski. He is one of two Bulgarians on the lists of the international investigation for funds and property in offshore companies Pandora Papers. 

State Agency for National Security (SANS) and the Ministry of Interior have requested information from the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission and the Independent Bulgarian Energy Exchange, the two institutions have told BNR. They did not specify what the required information was, but most likely these are documents related to electricity trading on the energy exchange.

The Bulgarian Specialized Prosecutor's Office received a signal from the Association of Industrial Capital in Bulgaria, the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce, the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria in connection with the record high price of electricity for business.
