Days of Macedonian Culture in Belgrade to open on Saturday

BELGRADE - The event dubbed “Days of the Macedonian Culture in Belgrade” will open on May 10 with an exhibition of Macedonian carvings entitled “From Tradition to Art”.

The exhibition will be opened by Macedonian Ambassador to Serbia Vera Jovanovska at the House of Djura Jaksic in Skadarlija.

During the event entitled “The Touch of Macedonia”, Belgraders will be acquainted with Macedonia's most prominent artists.

The Tetovo-based drama studio Iljo Anteski Smok will stage the play by Ray Cooney "Run for Your Wife", while St. Cyril and St. Methodius holiday will be marked traditionally on May 22 in cooperation with the Association of Macedonian Writers in Serbia and the Association of Writers of Serbia.

The exhibition will be open for visitors by May 17, and the special guest of the event is Director of the Museum of the Macedonian Struggle in Skopje Branislav Svetozarevic.

Macedonia's contemporary literature will be presented by a guest from Skoplje, writer and poet Sole Ljubin.
