Golob’s party in lead in RTV Slovenija poll
Ljubljana – Freedom Movement, the party of Robert Golob, leads the field among parliamentary and new parties in the latest poll commissioned by RTV Slovenija. The ruling Democrats (SDS) are in second.
One out of five respondents in the poll, conducted by Mediana, said they would vote for Freedom Movement, an increase of 6.8 percentage points from January.

Croatian Euro Coin Design Scrapped Over Copying Row
The prize-winning author of the design for the one-euro coin in Croatia withdrew his design on Monday, after claims that he had copied a published photograph.
Stjepan Pranjkovic said he was withdrawing the design due to "negative atmosphere in the media, as well as the pressure" he was under.

Main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu has called for unity to overcome the "hard days" that Turkey has been facing recently.
"We are having hard days. We are going through difficult circumstances together. We will and we must overcome together; we must overcome," he said at the CHP's parliamentary group meeting on Feb. 1.

Montenegrin Education Minister Accused of Insulting Minorities

At the protests, Bratic said that only the current government can sign a fundamental agreement with the Serbian Orthodox Church, and it couldn't be done either by minority parties or the opposition Social Democratic Party and Social Democrats.

A new Metron Analysis poll shows ND retains a, over 10 percentage point lead over SYRIZA, even as the Movement for Change (KINAL)-PASOK skyrocketed to 18.5 percent from 8.1 percent.
The results clearly show the emergence of a third political pole, KINAL-PASOK, according to the survey presented by MEGA television.
MP Tomić quits the Left
Ljubljana – MP Violeta Tomić resigned on Wednesday from the opposition Left party. It is not yet clear whether she will join another party or deputy group.
Tomić, a second-term MP and one of the most outspoken members of the party, recently confirmed for the daily Večer that she will not contest the upcoming general election on the slate of the Left.

URA initiated a change of government in Podgorica; Radulović supported Abazović PHOTO
Democratic Montenegro reacted after the Civic Movement United Reform Action (GP URA) handed over this initiative to the Assembly.
"URA deputies together with DPS submitted an initiative to overthrow the government. The betrayal of the people's will of epic proportions is being prepared", the Democrats state on Facebook.
Nation Alliance’s candidate will be 13th president: Akşener
İYİ (Good) Party leader Meral Akşener on Dec. 13 said she believes that the presidential candidate of the Nation Alliance will be elected by the nation in the next elections.
"I do not know when the election will take place, but I believe that the candidate of the Nation Alliance will be the 13th president," Akşener said.
