45 Illegal Migrants Detained on Hemus Highway
About 21:00 hrs on Sunday night, Traffic Police Sofia inspected an Iveco truck driven by a 46-year old man from Vidin.
A total of 45 foreigners were discovered in the cargo section of the truck, reported the Interior ministry. 38 of the detainees showed their IDs. They are citizens of Afghanistan and Pakistan. The remaining 7 claimed they are their compatriots.

Driver of Turkish truck kills road worker, flees scene
A worker has died while another has been seriously injured on Monday when a truck mowed them down on the Sid-Belgrade highway, in northwestern Serbia.
The driver of the Turkish number plates truck then fled the scene on foot.
Bulgarian Man Detained over Arms Trafficking in Hungary
The Bulgarian driver of a truck transporting arms was detained in Hungary, local media say.
The man was arrested after a customs inspection of the vehicle in the district of Bacs-Kuskun.
Customs officers say a "significant" amount of arms were found inside the German-plated truck.
Pretrial proceedings were launched into the development.
Two killed in pileup on Athens-Corinth highway
Two people were killed and one person was injured in a pileup near Kinetta on the Athens-Corinth highway on Wednesday night.
According to traffic police, the accident occurred when a truck lost control and crashed through a road divider, colliding with an oncoming car heading to Athens.

Serbia blocks entry of Croatian goods as countermeasure
Starting from midnight the Serbian police are preventing Croatian goods and cargo vehicles from entering Serbia, Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic announced.
This applies to trucks, trains, and other vehicles, even if they are driven by a person from a third country.

Truck drivers at Batrovci agreed to unblock the border crossing between Serbia and Croatia for passenger traffic on Wednesday, afternoon, Tanjug reported.

Istanbul harbor project for Ro-Ro vessels draws angry reaction
A harbor planned to be constructed for roll-on, roll-off (Ro-Ro) vessels in western Istanbul, aiming to carry up to 3,500 carrier trucks per day, will have negative urban and environmental impacts, the head of a civil organization dealing with urban affairs in Istanbul's Beylikdüzü district has told the Radikal news website.

15 killed as Turkish truck carrying farms workers collides with tanker
A truck carrying agricultural workers collided with a milk tanker in the Aegean province of Manisa early on July 6, killing 15 passengers and wounding two.
The truck was carrying a group of mostly female agricultural workers to a vineyard to pick fresh grape leaves. Thirteen women who were heading to the grape field are among the dead.
