Studies show that an increasing number of Greeks aged from 25-35 years of age are choosing to continue living with their parents as a result in unemployment.

Turkey's unemployment rate rises to highest level in five years

Turkey?s unemployment rate has climbed to its highest level since 2010, as economic activity slowed down in several sectors, the Turkish Statistics Institute (TÜ?K) has announced.

Unemployment increased to 11.3 percent in January, up from 10.9 percent in December, TÜ?K said on April 15.

Minister of Youth: We initiated project to hire young people

BELGRADE - We have initiated a project that brings together all ministries, with the aim to fight the youth unemployment rate, Minister of Youth and Sports Vanja Udovicic said on Monday.

Commenting on the fact that around 220,000 young people in Serbia are unemployed, Udovicic said that his ministry has so far toured 11 companies within the project, in order to point to this issue.

Eurostat: More than 1 in 2 young people unemployed in Greece

The euro area seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate was at 11.2% in January 2015, down from 11.3% in December 2014 and from 11.8% in January 2014. This is the lowest rate recorded in the euro area since April 2012. The EU28 unemployment rate was 9.8% in January 2015, down from 9.9% in December 2014 and from 10.6% in January 2014.

Unemployment Registered Slight Drop in Bulgaria in January

Bulgaria registered an unemployment rate of 10.8 % in January, but still remains above the EU average of 9.8 %.

This became evident from the latest figures of Eurostat, which were released on Monday.

The figures show that the unemployment rate in Bulgaria steadily decreased in the past year from 12.6 % in January 2014.

Vulin: Government aims to further reduce unemployment rate

BELGRADE - Minister of Labor, Employment, Veteran and Social Policy Aleksandar Vulin said on Monday that last year saw a drop in Serbia's unemployment rate from 23 to 17.6 percent, and the government will strive to keep it at the same level and reduce it, if possible, primarily through youth employment schemes.
