TVR secures exclusive rights for 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil fixtures

From June 12 to July 13, the most important soccer event of the year, 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil will be broadcast in Romania in exclusivity by public channels TVR 1, TVR 2, TVR HD and TVR+.

TVR public station will air 64 World Cup matches; in addition, there will be 59 programmes devoted to this event, providing additional information and relevant opinions. During the 32 days of the competition, TVR will devote over 420 hours to the king of sports, according to a release sent to AGERPRES.

For those preferring the Internet, all matches will be broadcast live on the video platform of TVR, tvrplus.ro, also available on the mobile phone and tablet computer.

Six journalists will be reporting from Brazil: Marian Olaianos, Emil Hossu Longin, Bogdan Tomulica, Dragos Bocanaciu, Florin Mihoc and Radio Romania commentator Catalin Carnu. Narcis Selaru and Sorin Hobana will provide expert analysis from the Bucharest studios, while Tudor Furdui and Cristi Mandru will be the hosts of the World Cup 2014 programmes to precede the soccer matches.

Journalists Ovidiu Ioanitoaia and Dumitru Graur, coaches Aurel Ticleanu and Mihai Stoichita and football player Gabi Popescu (who took part in the 1998 FIFA World Cup) will be invited to comment on the matches, the qualifying odds of every team in each phase of the championship, developments etc.
