If elections for Bulgaria's parliament were held now, GERB would get 23% of the votes, shows a Gallup survey.

The Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) would get nearly 16% and their former coalition partner from the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS) would get around 8%.

The party of the journalist-turned-politician Nikolai Barekov Bulgaria Without Censorship and its new partners would get around 5%. Four percent of the voters would cast their ballot for the Reformist Bloc.

Other parties, such as Ataka and former President Georgi Parvanov's ABV would remain below the 4% threshold – less than 2% and 2.4%, respectively.

The newly set up Patriotic Front of minor nationalist parties would get around 3%, but, according to Gallup, has a good chance of passing the threshold.

Thirty-four percent of respondents said they will not vote.

The survey was conducted among 1008 adult Bulgarian citizens in the period August 1 – 6, 2014.
