MAE, "very concerned" with Russia's "unilateral" decision of sending convoy to Ukraine

The Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE) on Friday showed its being "very concerned" with Russia's "unilateral" decision of sending a convoy to Ukraine without the approval of the Government of Kiev.

In a Twitter post, MAE maintains that is absolutely essential that any escalation of the situation be avoided.

Russia on Friday decided to send to the east of Ukraine its humanitarian convoy that had been stationed for over a week at the common border, estimating that all Kiev's "pretexts" to keep it in place had been exhausted, AFP quoted the Russian Foreign Ministry as announcing on Friday.

A number of 20 Russian trucks loaded, according to Moscow, with humanitarian aids reached the destination in the centre of Lugansk city, a pro-Russian bastion, a local authority told AFP. AGERPRES
