PSD's Sova: PM Ponta's visit to US, meant to strengthen political and economic ties

PSD's (Social Democratic Party) spokesman Dan Sova maintains that Prime Minister Victor Ponta's visit to the USA is meant to strengthen political and economic ties between the two countries.

'Prime Minister Victor Ponta's visit to the USA and his participation in the General Assembly of the UN is part of a strategy initiated two and a half years ago meant to bring Romania out of the isolation in which it was thrown by Traian Basescu. We have a very good political relation with the USA, a strategic partnership, but we still have a lot to work in the sense of developing our economic relations,' said Sova, in a release on Tuesday remitted to AGERPRES.
