Candidate Ponta: I wish Romanians can vote a man with a plan

Prime Minister Victor Ponta, running for President, wishes Romanians have the opportunity to vote for a candidate who wants a plan for Romania, not a position for themselves; in a broadcast of Antena 3 television on Monday night, he voiced his impression that his opponent Klaus Iohannis wants a position.

'The way you behave to those who stood next to you, who started a project with you is very important. If I have a critic to Mr. Iohannis, one I've already made public, too, is the fact that in 2009 he was with us; he was PSD's [ruling Social Democrat Party] nominee for prime minister; in February this year, he wanted to be a vice prime minister, a minister in my government; later, he supported presidential candidate Crin Antonescu; now all this are forgotten, and after two or three months I saw him with [Democrat Liberal Party leaders] Mr. [Vasile] Blaga, Mr. [Mihai-Razvan] Ungureanu, Mr. [Gheorghe] Falca Mr. [Gheorghe] Flutur, precisely those we fought for so many years. This raises a huge question mark for me. What will happen in two months, in three months, if one can change? (...) I wish very much Romanians had the opportunity to vote for a man who wants a plan for Romania, not a position. Because my impression is Mr. Iohannis wants a position,' Ponta said.
