Ministers Udovicic, Rahimov discuss improving cooperation

BAKU - Serbian Minister of Youth and Sports Vanja Udovicic and his Azerbaijani counterpart Azad Rahimov met in Baku Thursday and stressed the need for realizing the objectives of a Memorandum of Understanding between the two countries and for establishing cooperation in the field of sports infrastructure.

"Serbia and Azerbaijan already cooperate on the basis of the Memorandum of Understanding that the two ministries signed three years ago, where special emphasis was placed on the exchange of volunteers and on the opportunities for mutual use of each other's sports complexes under favorable terms. We want to further enrich our joint activities, creating the conditions for the implementation of specific projects in the field of youth and sports," said Udovicic.

Udovicic also met with Serbia's Ambassador to Azerbaijan Nebojsa Rodic, after which he visited the Olympic Village that will house the participants in the first European Olympic Games, which will be held in Baku in 2015.

Udovicic is representing Serbia at the first Global Forum on Youth Policies in Baku, which brought together some 700 participants from 170 countries, including 80 ministers in charge of government policies concerning youth.
