Canadian ensemble Les Amis to stage concert in Belgrade

BELGRADE - Pianist Erica Crino, member of the distinguished Canadian ensemble Les Amis, will stage a concert at the Gvarnerijus Center in Belgrade on April 30.

Crino will perform together with Michael Pepa, respectable Canadian composer, founder and artistic director of the ensemble.

The renowned artists will arrive in Belgrade as part of the European tour of Les Amis, the ensemble with the longest tradition on North America's concert scene, the organizers said.

Along with pieces of Chopin, Ravel and Bartok, Crino will premier a composition by Japan's Toru Takemitsu. The set list will also include the piece entitled "Invenzioni per Erika" that Pepa composed for Crino.

The concert is sponsored by the Canadian Embassy in Belgrade.
