Bucharest hosts Night of Cultural Institutes on June 19

'There is going to be a long night that will animate the city centre and will enchant the people with the interesting and diverse cultural experiences we've prepared. The programme will be a very busy one, including: films, music, theatre, poetry, dance, workshops, competitions, games, recitals, language courses, exhibitions, alternative and interactive events, tasting sessions and traditional products and hand-made objects fairs,' said the ICR.

Theatre, music, dance, film shows, workshops and a 'delicacies' fair, all make the programme of the 9th edition of The Night of Cultural Institutes in Bucharest, the Romanian Cultural Institute (ICR) informed on Tuesday in a press release.

The programme will be a very busy one, including: films, music, theatre, poetry, dance, workshops, competitions, games, recitals, language courses, exhibitions, alternative and interactive events, tasting sessions and traditional products and hand-made objects fairs,' said the ICR.

The ICR headquarters will host a capsule show titled 'Romanian Design Week', presenting some of the most important projects in the Romanian design industry and their impact, as well as a few examples of representative practices for the current stage of the creative industry in Romania this year.

A non-verbal theatrical performance for children aged between 1 and 3 will also take place at the ICR headquarters, followed by a performance of Turkish-born Vienna-based dancer Ziya Azazi. The Cultural Institutes' Night programme also includes the 'Electric Brother Live Band' concert (9:30 pm Romania time), to be followed by the screening of the most recent Romanian short-length films included in the non-competitive section 'Short Film Corner' of the Cannes Film Festival (11:00 pm Romania time).
